Overview
Over time, the factory high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) seals in Volkswagen and Audi Gen 1 2.0T EA113 direct injection engines degrade, leading to fuel leaks, pressure loss, and cold start issues. Additionally, upgrading to larger HPFP pistons—a common modification for high-performance and ethanol (E85) tuning—can overstress and tear the OEM seal, allowing fuel to bypass the seal and mix with engine oil.
The TGK Motorsport HPFP Seal Rebuild Kit is designed to fix factory leaks, replace torn seals from HPFP upgrades, and restore fuel system integrity. This kit also includes a replacement cam roller tappet, which is prone to scouring and premature wear when fuel leaks wash away lubrication. Whether you're performing preventative maintenance or upgrading your fuel system, this kit ensures optimal HPFP operation and long-term reliability.
