Overview

034Motorsport is proud to offer Stage 1 and Stage 2 DSG Software Upgrades for MkV/MkVI Volkswagen & 8J/8P Audi models equipped with the DQ250 transmission! Most 034Motorsport DSG Software Upgrades are flashed directly through the OBD-II port in 20-25 minutes using the 034Motorsport End User Flashing Kit. The 034Motorsport Dynamic+ End User Flashing Kit allows customers to install their 034Motorsport Dynamic+ Performance Software themselves. In addition, End User Flashing allows Dynamic+ Performance Software customers to receive and install software updates and revisions, flash back to stock, or upgrade to the next stage of performance software for their vehicle.

Note: Some DQ250 transmissions utilize an older communication protocol "K-Line" that cannot be flashed remotely. These K-Line transmissions were typically found in older iterations (MY08 and older) of the DQ250, though were not exclusive.

TCU Features

Stage 1 TCU Tuning

Stage 1 enhances the factory DQ250 transmission with improved clutch clamping pressure, quicker shifts, and optimized Sport Mode shift logic. Additional features include Launch Control on all supported vehicles, gear display in every driving mode, and kickdown disablement while in Manual mode for greater driver control.

Stage 2 TCU Tuning

Building upon Stage 1, Stage 2 delivers even faster shift speeds, increased transmission torque capacity, higher Launch Control RPM, and an increased DSG rev limiter. Stage 2 can also be configured to eliminate automatic upshifts in Manual mode upon request, providing complete driver control during spirited driving or track use.

Launch Control Optimization

Launch Control is enabled on all supported vehicles with increased launch RPM for stronger, more consistent launches. Typical launch RPM is 3,400 RPM (FWD) and 3,700 RPM (AWD) for Stage 1, while Stage 2 increases launch RPM to approximately 4,000 RPM (FWD) and 4,500 RPM (AWD). Custom launch RPM calibrations are available for many supported applications.

• Typical Launch Control RPM varies by application: Stage 1: approximately 3,400 RPM (FWD) / 3,700 RPM (AWD); Stage 2: approximately 4,000 RPM (FWD) / 4,500 RPM (AWD).
• Custom Launch Control RPM calibrations are available for many supported vehicles.
• Increasing the DSG rev limiter requires a compatible ECU tune with a raised engine rev limiter.
