Unitronic offers multiple software stages for the 8Y RS3, allowing the calibration to be matched to the vehicle's hardware configuration and performance goals. An ECU unlock is required before Unitronic Performance Software can be installed.

Unitronic Stage 1
Unitronic Stage 1 ECU Performance Software is designed to deliver a significant increase in power and torque while maintaining smooth, predictable power delivery and everyday drivability.

Unitronic Stage 2
Unitronic Stage 2 is designed for the 8Y RS3 equipped with the supporting hardware required to take the 2.5TFSI EVO to the next level. The calibration increases power and torque while optimizing response and power delivery.

Unitronic Stage 3 BT ECU Performance Software is being developed for 8Y RS3 applications utilizing upgraded turbocharger hardware and supporting modifications beyond the Stage 2 configuration.
