TCU Compatibility:

2022+ MK8 Golf R & 8Y S3 model-year vehicles are equipped with TCU flashing protections that prevent OBD unlocking and tuning, known as the 401 bootloader. In order to unlock your TCU, select the Bootloader Unlock Harness (BLU) at checkout when also purchasing your TCU tune. This harness allows for a one-time unlock, enabling OBD flashing via 034SPI, allowing you to flash with your Dynamic+ TCU tune. Learn more about the Bootloader Unlock Harness (BLU) here.

BLU is only compatible with 034SPI and requires that you own a 034Motorsport TCU tune.

Stage 2 is optimized for vehicles equipped with an upgraded intake and intercooler, providing increased midrange torque and top-end power. Stage 3 is engineered specifically for the Garrett PowerMAX GT2563S Turbocharger, delivering a significant increase in performance while retaining excellent drivability and factory-like refinement.

Engine Protection

Each calibration is developed with extensive validation to provide reliable performance in all driving conditions while retaining and expanding factory safety strategies. Optimized boost, ignition, and throttle mapping ensure smooth power delivery, predictable drivability, and OEM-quality cold-start behavior across all supported fuel types.

Fuel System Optimization

Dynamic+ supports 91 octane, 93 octane, and E85 calibrations across all ECU stages. Stage 3 is designed to operate safely on the factory fueling system, with support for future upgraded LPFP and MPI configurations planned to maximize ethanol performance. OPF removal is not supported for Stage 2 or Stage 3 calibrations.

Stage 2 builds upon this with faster shift speeds, optimized shift logic, improved launch control, and revised Drive and Sport behavior. Stage 3 is specifically calibrated for Garrett PowerMAX GT2563S-equipped vehicles, featuring revised shift points, enhanced launch control, and transmission behavior optimized for the expanded Stage 3 powerband.
